Finally a thrilling race, although several incidents marred the first lap. Nicolas Gonzales (Alpha / TM) retired after a collision at the hairpin, Thomas Laurent (Tony Kart / Vortex) restarted behind, then Luca Corberi (Tony Kart / Vortex) became entangled with Alberto Cavalieri’s (Righetti / Modena) wheels. Having already used his new tyres to win in the prefinal, Cavalieri disrupted the progress of the pack for a while. Andreas Fasberg (Tony Kart / Vortex) gone ahead of the race with Marijn Kremers (BirelART / Parilla), but Fabian Federer (CRG / Maxter) joined in the fight. Fasberg managed to return to the lead while Felice Tiene (CRG / Maxter) and Pedro Hiltbrand (CRG / Maxter) successively took the 2nd position. Meanwhile, Paolo Besancenez (Tony Kart / Vortex) regained ground, returning to the top 10 in front of Corberi whose kart was no longer giving its maximum.
Fasberg was 0.450″ of Hiltbrand, with Tiene following in 3rd position ahead of Federer, Kremers 5th, Maik Siebecke (CRG / Modena) 6th, Alessio Piccini (Tony Kart / Vortex) 7th and Besancenez 8th. Laurent dropped back but also set the best lap in 20th position.
