The first six qualifying heats of the European KZ2 Championship Round 1 at Sarno took place on a completely dry track with temperatures on the rise because of the sun’s return.
Luca Corberi (Tony Kart / Vortex) and Fabian Federer (CRG / Maxter) took two victories each, Alessio Piccini (Tony Kart / Vortex) and Andrea Fasberg (Tony Kart / Vortex) each won once. Twice second, Thomas Laurent (Tony Kart / Vortex) proved to be the fastest on the track in his two heats. Pole-sitter Maik Siebecke (CRG / Modena) has not kept his advantage with 9th at the moment. Nicolas Gonzales (Alpha / TM), despite a poor start, shows signs of good performance in 13th position, while Paolo Besancenez (Tony Kart / Vortex) was delayed in a clash before returning to 3rd position in the next heat.
