Laliberté makes the jump!

After touring the kart circuits of North America and Europe for several years, the young Canadian driver Kami Laliberté wanted to turn the page and start a logical extension of his career this season by joining the apprentice drivers of the Auto Sport Academy to compete in the French F4 Championship, the first stage of car racing.

The first winter tests in the car on the Le Mans Bugatti circuit finally convinced Kami Laliberté to move into cars and to continue his career by confronting the drivers in the very tough international field of the French F4 Championship. A fan of Ayrton Senna and motorsport in general, it is natural for Kami to head into this category.

At 15 years old and having finished his karting career, he is already preparing physically to compete in the seven meetings of the Championship with a testing programme at the legendary circuit of Pau for the Grand Prix and also at Budapest during World Series by Renault and five others during the GT Tour.

Kami’s preparation in the last winter tests and in both official collective training days at the Le Mans Bugatti circuit will allow him to be ready at the wheel of his car for the start of the 2015 season which will be at the first meeting at Lédenon 18th & 19th April at the GT Tour.

Kami Laliberté: “When starting my career in single-seaters it’s my dream to become a race car driver come true. Driving my F4 I can enrich my experience as a driver throughout the championship and I’m very eager to learn the circuits.
