Lombardo takes the lead on a slippery track

The slippery track and wet tyres changed the status quo on Sunday morning during the last two qualifying heats in KF-Junior. Clement Novalak (Tony Kart / Vortex) and Christian Lundgaard (Tony Kart / Vortex) dropped out in the heat A against D, while David Vidales won against Logan Sargeant, Noah Watt (FA Kart / Vortex) and Marta Garcia (FA Kart / TM). Lundgaard came back to 11th, and Novalak 13th ahead of Lucas Légeret (BirelART / Parilla) and Charles Milesi (Tony Kart / Vortex). There was a great performance from Timothy Peisselon (BirelART / Parilla) who finished 17th after running a little higher.

Davide Lombardo (Exprit / Vortex) soared in the heat B against C and regained the lead in the intermediate classification thanks to his superb victory ahead of Ulysse De Pauw (BirelART / Parilla). Rasmus Lindh (Ricciardo / TM) is up to 3rd place ahead of Kush Maini (Tony Kart / Vortex), who set the fastest lap, and Tom Leuillet (BirelART / Parilla) who gained 10 places. Presley Martono (Tony Kart / Vortex) retired which cost him dearly in terms of points.

Lombardo therefore takes the lead at the end of the heats, which means pole position in prefinal A. Watt will start on pole in prefinal B. Sargeant has moved up to third from Garcia with Novalak 5th. Wilson is 6th, Shvetsov 7th, Lundgaard 8th, Lindh 9th and Abdul Gafar 10th.
