The drivers in the first qualifying session in KF took their time to get on track, but everything happened quickly from their third lap. Martijn Van Leeuwen (CRG / TM) took the lead. Benjamin Lessennes (Zanardi / TM) and Marcus Armstrong (Tony Kart / Vortex) competed for 2nd place. Max Fewtrell (FA Kart / Vortex) settled it with a time of 47”054, while Leonardo Lorandi (Tony Kart / Vortex) took 2nd position at 19 thousandths off the leader, with Van Leeuwen 3rd by 57 mils and Lessennes 4th by 1.25 tenths. Considered one of the favourites and often more effective in racing than qualifying, Karol Basz (Kosmic / Vortex), set the 6th fastest time.

Unlike KZ2, the second KF session wasn’t faster than the first. The fight was fierce with six drivers within a tenth and constant changes of leader. Nicklas Nielsen (Tony Kart / Vortex) was fastest in the session a long way ahead of his opponents. He had to settle for a time of 47”063, 9 mils slower than pole, while Alexander Vartanyan (Tony Kart / Vortex) was 37 mils off. Tom Bale (FA Kart / Vortex) finished third by 1.5 tenths from Hannes Janker in 4th (CRG / Parilla) and Richard Verschoor (Exprit / Vortex) in 5th.

Fewtrell is the poleman a strong KF category 37 drivers. Nielsen is very close 2nd place, Lorandi 3rd, 4th Vartanyan, Van Leeuwen 5th and 6th Lessennes.
