KF-Junior: first pole position for Watt

The first qualifying session for KF-Junior was very lively until Noah Watt (FA Kart / Vortex) set a time of 48”223 ??two minutes before the end, 0.145” faster than Presley Martono, with Ye Yifei finishing 3rd ahead of Clement Novalak (Tony Kart / Vortex) who made a come back late in the session, Nikita Volegov was 5th and Christian Lundgaard (Tony Kart / Vortex) 6th. Logan Sargeant (FA Kart / Vortex) was 11th by 3/10, Jean-Baptiste Simmenauer (Tony Kart / Vortex)  18th and Tom Leuillet (BirelART / Parilla) 20th by 4/10.

The final ranking was decided late in the second session. Davide Lombardo (Exprit / Vortex) and Artem Petrov (DR / TM) competed for the lead, followed closely by Dmitrii Bogdanov (Tony Kart / Vortex) and Marta Garcia (FA Kart / TM), a situation that would evolve over the closing laps. Lombardo was credited with the fastest lap with a time of 48”345, Petrov was second by 45 mils with Bogdanov 3rd by 68 mils. Charles Milesi ended up 21st with 3 tenths off the best time, Timothy Peisselon (BirelART / Parilla) 27th by 0.463” and Milane Petelet (Kosmic / Parilla) only 29th by 5/10.

In the overall standings of the 65 entries Watt took his first pole position in KF-Junior ahead of Lombardo, Martono, Petrov 4th, Bogdanov 5th and Garcia 6th.
