The second round of the 2015 WSK Super Master Series will take place this weekend at the of 7 Laghis circuit at Castelletto. The emergency suspension of the new front spoiler support was decided by the CIK-FIA earlier this week, but past races have shown some problems safely negotiating the start and the first corner at Castelletto. The durability of the Vega tyres in KF and KZ2 remains a great unknown. Although the 7 Laghi circuit is not the fastest, we know it is demanding for tyres.

But what else can we expect in the racing? The battle, already tight, may become even more interesting in KZ2, with drivers freed for a time from the threat of a 30” penalty. The duel between the official Tony Karts of Marco Ardigo and Flavio Camponeschi will, hopefully, be joined by other drivers who have shown their ambitions lately. Will there be a return of Paolo De Conto (CRG / Maxter) to the podium, will the Praga boys (Jonathan Thonon won’t be racing this time) finally succeed, will Sodi be able to shake the Italian teams with Anthony Abbasse and Arnaud Kozlinski, and can Formula K fight for victory with Bas Lammers and Lorenzo Camplese, and who out of Jordon Lennox-Lamb (BirelART / Parilla) and Rick Dreezen (Ricciardo / Parilla) will be the fastest at BirelART .. .

In KF, Karol Basz (Kosmic / Vortex) started the series by winning against Nicklas Nielsen (Tony Kart / Vortex) but he has not had his last word. Behind the consistent Martijn Van Leeuwen (CRG / TM), the fight is fierce between young talents like the very fast Alexander Vartanyan (Tony Kart / Vortex), Casper Roes (FA Kart / Vortex), Max Fewtrell (FA Kart / Vortex) and Marcus Armstrong (Tony Kart / Vortex) as well as experienced drivers like Ben Hanley (Croc Promotion / TM) and Tom Joyner (Zanardi / Parilla).

Finally, in the Juniors, the confrontation between Clement Novalak (Tony Kart / Vortex) and Christian Lundgaard (Tony Kart / Vortex) looks interesting for Artem Petrov (DR / TM), Logan Sargeant (FA Kart / Vortex) and Lorenzo Colombo (Tony Kart / LKE). We will follow the French performances from Milane Petelet (Kosmic / Parilla), Charles Milesi (Tony Kart / Vortex) and Jean-Baptiste Simmenauer (Tony Kart / Vortex) as well as the progress of Timothy Peisselon (BirelART / Parilla).

See you under the sun at Castelletto on Friday from 4:20 p.m. for timed qualifying. Saturday will be a day dedicated to heats with a risk of rain in the afternoon, while Sunday’s finals are forecast to be wet.
