WSK Gold Cup in KZ2 for Camponeschi

Flavio Camponeschi (Tony Kart / Vortex) overtook Marco Ardigo (Tony Kart / Vortex) on the second lap of the KZ2 final of the WSK Gold Cup at Adria, while Jonathan Thonon (Praga / Parilla) took 3rd place against Jorge Pescador (Praga / Parilla). Lorenzo Camplese (Formula K / Parilla) attacked Jorrit Pex (Intrepid / TM) to gain 5th place. Thonon attacked Ardigo on lap 4 and took second, four tenths behind Camponeschi. Camplese passed Pescador on lap 6, while Stan Pex (Intrepid / TM) passed his older brother. Camplese tried to do the same to the world champion who was not intimidated. He passed later, although Ardigo tried to close the doors.

At the halfway point, Thonon’s pressure on Camponeschi was increasing somewhat, but the Tony Kart driver had the resources to hold him off. Bas Lammers (Praga / Parilla) then passed Stan Pex to take 6th position. The order was stable, apart from Lammers who overtook Pescador on lap 15.

Camponechi won against Thonon, with Camplese 3rd. The final suspense came from Lammers, who set the fastest time in the wheeltracks of Ardigo who stayed fourth on the line. With one more lap, things could have changed.
