WSK Gold Cup: Another success for Lundgaard

The WSK Gold Cup KF-Junior Final looked very promising with Clement Novalak (Tony Kart / Vortex) and Christian Lundgaard (Tony Kart / Vortex) on the front row. However Kush Maini (Tony Kart / Vortex) drove lap 1 ahead of Lundgaard, Novalak having surprisingly been pushed out at the second corner. After having problems getting his engine started, Artem Petrov (DR / TM) took 3rd position in front of Logan Sargeant (FA Kart / Vortex). Novalak then moved up to 5th position ahead of Zahar Slutskiy (DR / TM) and Ivan Shvestov (Tony Kart / Vortex).

Lundgaard attacked Maini attack for the lead on lap 5 and Petrov followed in second place on the next lap. Charles Milesi (Tony Kart / Vortex) lost places in the fight, while Jean-Baptiste Simmenauer (Tony Kart / Vortex) regained ground. Sargeant took third and then second behind Lundgaard. In 16th, Gilles Magnus (Parolin / TM) pushed to regain places. While Lundgaard took off, fighting raged for second position between Maini and Sargeant, with Novalak stuck in 4th position.

Shvestov joined in the fight in the final laps. Lundgaard won without surprise, nearly 4 seconds ahead. Shvestov didn’t finish, Maini crossed the line in second position ahead of Sargeant, Petrov, Novalak, Slutskiy and Kenny Roosens (Kosmic / Parilla) 7th. 10th position went to Milesi, 11th for Simmenauer for Milane Petelet in 31st (Kosmic / Parilla).
