Under the blue sky and sun at Adria with a temperature close to 15°C, the participants in the first WSK Gold Cup completed their timed practice on Friday afternoon.

The 52 KF-Junior drivers were treated to two sessions, the second being faster overall than the first. The overall ranking was done this time according to their fastest time, not their place in each group. Clement Novalak (Tony Kart / Vortex) clearly dominated the category with a lap of 49”697, almost two tenths faster than his closest rival Ivan Shvestov (Tony Kart / Vortex). Artem Petrov (DR / TM) was 3rd ahead of Christian Lundgaard (Tony Kart / Vortex), Sebastian Fernandez Wahbeh (Exprit / Vortex) 5th and Sun Yue Ynag (FA Kart / Vortex) 6th. The leader of the first session, Felipe Drugovich (Kosmic / Vortex), was only in 7th place, and the second, Milane Petelet (Kosmic / Parilla) was 15th. Charles Milesi (Tony Kart / Vortex) was 9th and Jean-Baptiste Simmenauer (Tony Kart / Vortex) 29th.

Leonardo Lorandi (Tony Kart / Vortex) was top among the 26 KF with a time of 48”077, followed by four hundredths of a second by Casper Andersen Roes (FA Kart / Vortex), Nicklas Nielsen (Tony Kart / Vortex), Karol Basz (Kosmic / Vortex) and Max Fewtrell (FA Kart / Vortex), with Benjamin Lessennes (Zanardi / Parilla) finishing 9th. Tom Joyner (Zanardi / Parilla) was back in competition in 13th in qualifying. Maxime Potty (Kosmic / Vortex) was 17th and Alexandre Gadois (Kosmic / Parilla) 20th, the only French drivers entered in KF.

In KZ2 (17 participants), four drivers lapped in the same hundredths – Flavio Camponeschi (Tony Kart / Vortex), the pole sitter with 47”365, Lorenzo Camplese (Formula K / Parilla), Marco Ardigo (Tony Kart / Vortex) and Jorge Pescador (Praga / Parilla). Jonathan Thonon (Praga / Parilla) took 5th place after a shortened session.
