Nicklas Nielsen (Tony Kart / Vortex) taking the lead from the start of the KF final at La Conca was no surprise. Max Fewtrell (FA Kart / Vortex) was 2nd after the first lap but quickly had to defend against Richard Verschoor (Exprit / Vortex) and Karol Basz (Kosmic / Vortex). The battle took shape behind the leader who had already got away. Basz took 2nd place for a while, but Verschoor reacted. Casper Roes Andersen (FA Kart / Vortex) and Juan Correa (Energy / TM) completed the top six. Leonardo Lorandi (Tony Kart / Vortex) was quickly back in the top 10. Correa and his teammate Rokas Baciuska (Energy / TM) passed Andersen, then Lorandi took 6th. Then the race was red-flagged after eight laps due to a heavy downpour.

After the mechanics had mounted wet tyres and shielded the air boxes, the race resumed in single file – with the slow procedure needed – on a very wet track, but it had stopped raining. Nielsen’s engine didn’t start on the grid and he had to start from the back. Basz came into the pits because of a mechanical problem, probably  the spark plug. The race finally resumed on lap 9 with Verschoor ahead of Fewtrell, Correa, Andersen and Baciuska. Stupenkov was 6th, Becamel 7th and Lorandi 8th. Nielsen was pushing to recover, but his misadventure had already put him a lap down. Correa dropped back with four laps to go.

Although Verschoor still retained the top spot, Stupenkov was back strongly in second position after dropping Fewtrell. But Verschoor showed a lot of maturity by controlling the threat from the Russian and won his first race in KF. Andersen finished 3rd, Fewtrell 4th, Skaras 5th and Becamel 6th.
