Lundgaard masterful in the KF-Junior final

The situation for the start of the KF-Junior final at La Conca was a wet track and more rain. Logan Sargeant (FA Kart / Vortex) took the lead after a slightly confused start ahead of Christian Lundgaard (Tony Kart / Vortex), Felipe Drugovich (Kosmic / Vortex) and Sebatian Fernandez Wahbeh (Exprit / Vortex) who then spun. We saw Eliseo Martinez (Praga / LKE) touch the kart ahead of him and therefore bring down the bumper. Kush Maini (Tony Kart / Vortex) recovered 4th place ahead of Sun Yue Yang (FA Kart / Vortex), Martinez, Presley Martono (Tony Kart / Vortex) in 7th and Jean-Baptiste Simmenauer (Tony Kart / Vortex) in 8th. There was a big climb for Clement Novalak (Tony Kart / Vortex) in 13th position. Charles Milesi (Tony Kart / Vortex) was doing well in 20th place.

Sargeant went off on lap 5 and dropped to 5th, Lundgaard captured the lead, followed by Drugovich and Maini. The situation was deteriorating for the French drivers: Simmenauer fell to 13th, Milesi 24th seemingly with a dropped bumper. At the front Lundgaard built up a gap of  2.5″ from Drugovich who was himself 3” from Maini. Sargeant was fourth ahead of teammate Yue Yang. Milesi went into the pits to have his spoiler replaced and was lapped. Abrusci almost took 3rd position after cutting the track sharply. Lundgaard won ahead Drugovich and Sargeant. Maini finished 4th, Yang Yue 5th, Novalak 9th and Simmenauer 10th, positions that could improve once the stewards have completed their job.
