Recognition already for Fewtrell in the KF Prefinal at Adria

Nicklas Nielsen (Kosmic / Vortex) made a perfect start to the KF Prefinal. Max Fewtrell (FA Kart / Vortex) took 2nd place for a moment, but Karol Basz (Tony Kart / Vortex) recovered it before the end of the first lap. Martijn Van Leeuwen (Zanardi / Parilla) overtook Jehan Daruvala (FA Kart / Vortex) for 4th place, Alessio Lorandi (Tony Kart / Vortex) rose to sixth from Benjamin Lessennes (Kosmic / Parilla) and Andreas Jochimsen (ART GP / TM). Felice Tiene (CRG / Parilla) was back like a rocket, gaining 13 places to run 13th on the fifth of the 16 laps.

Nielsen controlled the race well, especially when Fewtrell passed Basz to gain second position. Hannes Janker (Zanardi / Parilla) lost six places and was 10th. Lorandi moved into the top 5 at the halfway point. Fewtrell was much closer Nielsen and attacked on lap 10. Van Leeuwen returned to the trio and there was an intense battle for second between Nielsen and Basz. The Dane fell to 4th, 4/10 off the Pole in the next lap. Basz then saw a small mistake from Van Leeuwen and returned to second. The Pole was extremely fast on the last laps. He tried to attack Fewtrell on the last lap, but lost his second position in favor of Van Leeuwen.

Fewtrell won ahead of Van Leeuwen, Basz was 3rd from Lorandi with Nielsen 5th, so this race has not failed to bring developments. Lessennes finished 6th, and in 10th Tiene fulfilled his difficult mission.
