Cooper keeps a cool head in DD2

Although the pole sitter Ben Cooper (Birel – KMS Birel Motorsport) still leads DD2 after the heats with two wins on the score sheet, this doesn’t mean that there was no fighting at Zuera. We must first discuss Anthony Abbasse’s (Sodi – SODIKART) high speed exit from the track during an attack from Jordon Lennox-Lamb (CRG – CRG), when he had taken the lead in the first heat. The competitiveness of the French driver was also confirmed with a victory and a second place after that. Nevertheless, he is only ninth on Saturday night. The consistent Andreas Backman (Tony Kart – Strawberry Racing) retains his second place ahead of Ferenc Kanscar (Birel – KMS Birel Motorsport) and Xen De Ruwe (Intrepid – Intrepid Driver Program) who recovered well from his 11th in qualifying. Sean Babington (Tony Kart – Strawberry Racing) redid much of his delay by reaching 7th position.

With an 8th place, but also two less flattering results including a retirement, Damien Vuillaume (Flandria – Flandria Competition) is in 21st place, and Julien Renaudin (Sodi – Kart Racing Pro) is 25th after a difficult day.

Martin Pierce (Praga – Praga Racing Team) took control in DD2, but Tamsin Germain (Gillard – DG Racing) remains close in second position, while Christophe Adams (Kosmic – Sonic Racing Kart), in third, was not spared problems. Franck Rouxel (Sodi – Shop Sodi) also had an arduous journey.
