The weather for the KZ final meant an almost completely dry track. Rick Dreezen (Zanardi / Parilla) shared the front row with Bas Lammers (Formula K / Parilla), then Marco Ardigo (Tony Kart / Vortex) and Jonathan Thonon (Praga / Parilla). Fellice Tiene (CRG / Maxter) went off on the grass and lost places. Ben Hanley (ART GP / TM) joined the group of four, causing some animation. Dreezen and Lammers had the first two places, Thonon followed, Jordon Lennox-Lamb (CRG / Maxter) was 4th, Ardigo 5th and Hanley 6th. But it did not last. On lap 5, Thonon went on the attack and seized control ahead of Lammers, Lennox-Lamb in third then Dreezen. The positions seemed fixed, but the race was still long.

Lammers and Thonon were lapping at the same pace of 50.1” and separated by a second Dreezen accelerated ahead of Lennox-Lamb. Ardigo stopped on lap 10, suffering a mechanical problem. His teammate Flavio Camponeschi, very fast, took fifth position ahead of Jorrit Pex (CRG / TM), Hanley and Paolo De Conto (Birel / TM), who had regained 19 places. The times went down for almost everyone, it was approaching 49.5”. From lap 13, Lammers began to close the gap on the leader Thonon who then reacted and Dreezen was not far from the Dutch driver. Lammers gave the maximum but in vain. Dreezen took third, ahead of Camponeschi and Lennox and threatened Lammers. There were five laps to go. Meanwhile, Thonon had distanced himself significantly and this saw him win the final. Dreezen is steady in the Championship with this second place, Lammers is back on the podium, Camponeschi 4th, Lennox-Lamb 5th, Hanley 6th, De Conto, finally finishing, 7th, and Pex 8th.
