Ardigo wins the 1st heat in KZ

The first lap in KZ was extremely tight with a lot of overtaking and very little difference over the line. Marco Ardigo (Tony Kart / Vortex) took the lead, Bas Lammers (Formula K / Parilla) passed him shortly after, Anthony Abbasse (Sodi / TM) took third, but an attack from Felice Tiene (CRG / Maxter) messed it up. Rick Dreezen (Zanardi / Parilla) couldn’t quite get back to the lead and finished second behind Ardigo whose machine was more effective after half distance. Lammers ranked third ahead of Abbasse and Jorrit Pex (CRG / TM) in 5th, Riccardo Negro (Top Kart / Parilla), ahead of Thomas Laurent (Tony Kart / Vortex) in 7th, Tiene 8th, Arnaud Kozlinski (Intrepid / TM) 9th then Jonathan Thonon (Praga / Parilla). There was a big rise for Paolo De Conto (Birel / TM) to 16th place, however, it remains under investigation.
