Kozlinski takes pole in KZ at Genk

Positions changed quickly in the first KZ qualifying session. Arnaud Kozlinki (Intrepid / TM) and Paolo De Conto (Birel / TM) were the first two to go below 53”, later joined by Flavio Camponeschi (Tony Kart / Vortex). De Conto was at the top for a long time until the end of the session ahead of Camponeschi and Kozlinski, but the French driver took the fastest time, 52” 861 on the last lap. Patrik Hajek (Praga / Parilla) finished 4th, Simo Puhakka (Birel / TM) 5th.

It was a similar scenario in the second session with Jorrit Pex (CRG / TM) in the lead, Anthony Abbasse (Sodi / TM) ahead of Marco Ardigo (Tony Kart / Vortex) and Rick Dreezen (Zanardi / Parilla). Then Jonathan Thonon (Praga / Parilla) took fastest time in the final seconds, with 52” 889.

Pole in the category went to Kozlinski, despite an engine problem on the way in, Thonon, De Conto, Pex 4th, Abbasse 5th, Camponeschi 6th, Ardigo 7th, Hajek 8th, Dreezen 9th and Puhakka 10th.
