Euro Challenge Castelletto: DD2 pole for De Conto

There was a tight battle between Paolo De Conto (Birel – KMS Birel Motorsport) on 48” 046, Sean Babington (Tony Kart – Strawberry Racing) and Anthony Abbasse (Sodi – Sodikart) in the first qualifying session in DD2, which finished in that order less than 3 hundredths apart. Andreas Backman (Tony Kart – Strawberry Racing) was fourth by 1.5 tenths with Ben Cooper (Birel – KMS Birel Motorsport) fifth.

Jordon Lennox-Lamb (CRG – CRG) posted the fastest lap of the second session with 48” 107 ahead of Alex Beggi (Birel – KMS Birel Motorsport). Cristiano Morgado (FA Kart – Dan Holland Racing) was ahead of Damien Vuillaume (Flandria Kart – Flandria Competition) and Joshua Collings (CRG – Paul Carr Racing)

Pole went to De Conto, still followed in the overall standings by Babington and Abbasse then Lennox-Lamb in 4th ahead of Beggi,  Morgado 6th, Backman 7th, Cooper 8th, Vuillaume 9th and Collings 10th. Xen De Ruwe (ART GP – Art Grand Prix Team) was 14th, Maxime Gravouille (Sodi – KPR) 31st, and Julien Renaudin (Sodi – KPR) 38th. Morgado was 1st of the DD2 Masters ahead of Guillaume Berteaux (Birel – Kartagene) and Christophe Adams (Kosmic – Sonic Racing Kart).
