Under the sun at La Conca, Ben Hanley (ART GP / TM) started on pole in the KF pre-final A ahead of Nikita Mazepin (Tony Kart / Vortex), Alessio Lorandi (Tony Kart / TM) and Lando Norris (FA Kart / Vortex ). Lorandi quickly took 2nd position and closed on Hanley with Mazepin and Norris at his heels. Jehan Daruvala (FA Kart / Vortex) moved up into the top 10. Lorandi passed Hanley on lap 5, Norris followed in second position. Hanley was stuck to the back of his young compatriot, while Niko Kari (Tony Kart / Vortex) swelled the ranks of chasing pack in 5th position. None of this concerned Lorandi really, who was more than 6 tenths ahead. Kari overtook Mazepin on lap 9. Daruvala retired, so the title was definitely gone. Hanley managed to pass Norris on lap 11, Kari benefited, young Lando was shaken a little and was also passed by Mazepin. Kari launched a straightforward attack on Hanley and stole 2nd place with two laps to go.
