Praga holds its course in WSK Super Master

The work done by Praga Kart Racing, in direct contact with the IPK factory, brings improvements at every event. The goal is to be ready for the CIK-FIA European Championships, and Praga recorded positives at Castelletto, both with drivers and equipment, but the racing has not always rewarded these efforts. In addition to the specific track at Castelletto, the team faced the first warm weather of the season, gaining valuable experience, particularly with the new tyres.

After a not very good start in qualifying, the KF drivers achieved respectable performance in the heats. Diego Bertonelli was one to watch with his sixth in the prefinal, a gain of seven places, while Karol Dabski was delayed by an incident on the first lap, as was Marino Sato later on. While he was on full attack in 9th position in the final Bertonelli had to retire on lap 5. Dabski succeeded in gaining back 15 places to get back into the top 10.

In KZ2, Jonathan Thonon and Patrik Hajek were in the top three several times in the heats, clocking fifth and sixth respectively in the intermediate classification, with three fastest laps to the credit of the champion from Belgium. A penalty in the last race put Jorge Pescador back in 16th. After a promising second place in his prefinal – with one of the fastest laps – Thonon was forced to hold on his air box during the latter part of the final, which was not conducive to a good result. Hajek was able to maintain a good pace and finish in 8th position while Pescador was struggling for 14th place.

The only representative of the Praga team in KF-Junior, the young Rasmus Lindh continues to learn in the category. This time he just missed out on qualifying for the final after a crash.
