Camponeschi and Dale the first heat winners in KZ at Sarno

Heat 1, A against B

Flavio Camponeschi (Tony Kart / Vortex) was leading the race in the first heat in KZ2, while Rick Dreezen (Zanardi / Parilla) quickly recovered 2nd place from Marco Ardigo (Tony Kart / Vortex). Ben Hanley (ART GP / TM) then defeated Riccardo Negro (Top Kart / TM) to return to fourth position. Bas Lammers (Formula K / Parilla) lost time at the start before embarking on a small recovery. Hanley attacked Ardigo on the penultimate lap to take 3rd place. Camponeschi won with the fastest lap ahead of Dreezen.

Heat 2, C against D

Jérémy Iglesias (Lenzo / LKE) made an excellent start to go second behind Andrea Dale (CRG / Maxter) and Patrik Hajek (Praga / Parilla) in 4th. Arnaud Kozlinski (Intrepid / TM) returned to second when Iglesias retired, followed by Douglas Lundberg (Alpha Karting / TM) 11 places better than his start position, and Jordon Lennox-Lamb (CRG / Maxter) in 4th ahead of Marco Zanchetta (Maranello / TM). Lennox attacked for third position. Paolo De Conto (Birel / TM) was losing ground in 9th place, Hajek dropped to 12th, and Davide Fore (CRG / TM) was struggling in 18th place. Dale and Kozlinski escaped ahead of Lennox-Lamb. Dale was leading by two-tenths from Kozlinski, Lennox finished 3rd by 4”, Zanchetta 4th, Lundberg 5th, Felice Tiene (CRG / Maxter) 6th, Mirko Torsellini (ART GP / TM) 7th and De Conto 8th. Jonathan Thonon (Praga / Parilla) finished in 12th place, and the fastest lap went to Fore in 15th.
