Basz wins prefinal B in KF ahead of Ilott

Nicklas Nielsen (Kosmic / Vortex) and Karol Basz (Tony Kart / Vortex) were at the front of the pack at the start of Prefinal-B in KF, Alessio Lorandi (Tony Kart / TM) was following in 3rd while Martijn Van Leeuwen (Zanardi / Parilla) and Julien Darras (Kosmic / Vortex) were in 4th and 5th positions. Lorandi attacked Nielsen, and Basz pulled away. Van Leeuwen dropped to 9th, Darras passed for 4th, and Callum Ilott (Zanardi / Parilla) was now 7th.

After starting from the last row, Paolo Besancenez (Tony Kart / TM) ensured his qualification by gaining several places, closely followed by his teammate Julien Fong (Tony Kart / TM). Basz maintained a good lead on Lorandi, and Ilott, the fastest on the track, closed on Nielsen and took 3rd on lap 10. Next he aimed at 2nd from Lorandi. He overtook when braking on the penultimate lap. Victory went to Basz ahead of Ilott and Lorandi, Nielsen finished 4th from Darras in 5th.
