Showers alternated with dry periods in the Friday morning free practice sessions for the last round of the WSK Champions Cup, but it was raining and the track was very wet for the start of qualifying for KF-Junior at La Conca. Max Fewtrell (FA Kart / Vortex), Leonardo Lorandi (Tony Kart / TM), Pietro Mazzola (LH / TM) long scuffled for first place while the track improved with each lap. Finally Logan Sargeant (Tony Kart / Vortex) won with a lap of 1’13” 128, ahead of Lorandi and the surprise of the day, the Swiss driver Novalak Clement (Kosmic / Vortex) in third position.

It wasn’t raining for the second session which took place after the first group of KF, but grip remained precarious. Daniel Ticktum (Zanardi / Parilla) took the lead for the entire session with a good margin over his opponents, increasing the pace until the end. He took pole in the group and category with a superb lap of 1’11” 898. Mick Junior (Tony Kart / Vortex), Benjamin Lessennes (Kosmic / Parilla), Casper Roes (Energy / TM) were fighting for 2nd place which went to Mick Junior, 7/10 later, against Lessennes and Roes, withBrazilian Murilo Dell Coletta (PCR / Parilla) finishing 5th.

The difference between the two groups was not actually very significant, if we exclude the outlying time from Ticktum that dropped the next fastest by 9/10. For this reason, the overall qualifying ranking of KF-Junior was affected by the 101% rule.
