KF: Lorandi imperial in Prefinal B

Karol Basz (Tony Kart / Vortex) quickly escaped at the lights of Prefinal B in KF. Tom Joyner (Zanardi / Parilla) and Martijn Van Leeuwen (Zanardi / Parilla) were grouped behind him, while Alessio Lorandi (Tony Kart / TM) gradually increased his speed. Guan Yu Zhou (FA Kart / Vortex) then took 5th from Maxim Martynyuk (Energy / TM) and Kevin Lavelli (Top Kart Parilla). Van Leeuwen took the advantage from Joyner, who then had to hold off Lorandi. Van Leeuwen pushed and passed Basz before halfway and Lorandi took second place on the eighth lap while Basz was 3rd. Lorandi continued his momentum and was leading the race on the next lap, Basz had the opportunity to return to Van Leeuwen in second, and he took it back shortly after.

Joyner was still in 4th with Callum Ilott (Zanardi / Parilla) over 6” behind. Van Leeuwen and Basz didn’t drop back from the leader Lorandi. The Dutch was the most threatening, but Lorandi had the power and kept his gap to the finish line. Lorandi was the winner, Van Leeuwen second, Basz third, Joyner 4th, Ilott 5th, Sette Camara 6th and Maestranzi 7th.
