Jonathan Thonon (Praga / Parilla) and Jérémy Iglesias (Lenzo / LKE) were on the front row for the KZ2 final of the first WSK Champions Cup round at La Conca. Ben Hanley (ART GP / TM) and Jorrit Pex (CRG / TM) were on the second row ahead of Riccardo Negro (Top Kart / TM) and Douglas Lundberg (Alphahd?e / TM).

The weather decided to stay beautiful until the end of the meeting. Iglesias led one lap ahead of Thonon, Pex, Hanley, Negro and Lundberg. Thonon went round the inside of Iglesias on lap 2 and Flavio Camponeschi (Tony Kart / Vortex) took 6th place ahead of Lundberg. It was very animated in the leading group. Hanley took second, Negro third, Iglesias dropped to fifth before being passed by Flavio Camponeschi (Tony Kart / Vortex).  Davide Fore (CRG / TM) recovered to 7th. Negro got the better of Hanley for 2nd place, but the English driver retaliates. Thonon took the opportunity to take off.

Starting 29th at the back of the grid, Marco Ardigo (Tony Kart / Vortex) was already back to15th. Patrik Hajek followed the same rhythm. Hanley was unleashed to close on the leader Thonon, and Fore passed Iglesias for 6th. Fore set the fastest lap before making contact with Pex and losing several places. On lap 15, Hanley was with Thonon. The overtake was on the line. Thonon had to let him past and later also dropped behind Camponeschi.

Camponeschi began the last lap on Hanley’s bumper, but the Englush driver was faster and won the race ahead of the Italian. Negro took the 3rd step of the podium in front of Iglesias and Lundberg. Then Rick Dreezen (Zanardi / Parilla) took 6th place from Fore and Pex, while Ardigo completed his recovery to 9th place ahead of Torsellini and Hajek.
