The weather was beautiful at Muro Leccese for the first qualifying session on Friday after overnight rain and grey sky in the morning. Max Fewtrell (FA Kart / Vortex) opened the scoring in the first group of KF-Junior at the WSK Champions Cup Round 1 at La Conca, with a lap of 47” 516 ahead of Alex (DR / TM), Logan Sargeant (Tony Kart / Vortex) and Mick Junior (Tony Kart / Vortex). Sargeant then took second position, Mick Junior third and Christian Lundgaard (Tony Kart / Vortex) fourth. Benjamin Lessennes (Kosmic / Parilla) posted the sixth fastest time this series, Giuliano Alesi (Tony Kart / TM) 12th, Luca Légeret (Zanardi / Parilla) 22nd, Charles Milesi 17th.

In the second group, the first confrontation was between Daniel Ticktum (Zanardi / Parilla), Leonardo Lorandi (Tony Kart / TM), Alexander Vartanyan (Tony Kart / Vortex) and Enaam Ahmed (FA Kart / Vortex). Devlin DeFrancesco (Tony Kart / Vortex) then interfered in the leading group. He set the fastest time, 47” 601, ahead of Ahmed, Matvey Maslov (Tony Kart / Vortex) and Ticktum were tied, and Casper Roes (Energy / TM) finished 5th in front of Vartanyan.

The overall ranking of the 66 KF-Junior competitors at La Conca saw Fewtrell on pole ahead of DeFrancesco, Sargeant in 3rd, Ahmed 4th, Maslov 5th, Ticktum 6th and Mick Junior 7th.
