Dale fights to win the prefinal in KZ2

For the KZ2 prefinal, Andrea Dale (CRG / Maxter) was on pole with Flavio Camponeschi (Tony Kart / Vortex) at his side, followed by Marco Ardigo (Tony Kart / Vortex), Marco Zanchetta (Maranello / TM), Bas Lammers (Formiula K / Parilla), Paolo De Conto (Birel / TM) and Arnaud Kozlinski (Intrepid / TM).

Camponeschi made an excellent start, followed by Zanchetta, Dale, De Conto and Lammers attacking. In 8th position, Douglas Lundberg (Alpha / TM) had Kozlinski on his heels. Lammers quickly took 3rd, Ardigo was 6th. Camponeschi watched his lines to keep Dale behind him, and De Conto passed Ardigo. On lap 5, Dale took the lead ahead of Lammers and Camponeschi and was then heckled by Zanchetta and De Conto. Ardigo retired. Following were Ben Hanley (ART GP / TM) and Mirko Torsellini (ART GP / TM), in 9th and 10th places.

Dale pulled away from Lammers, Zanchetta and De Conto. Kozlinski closed on Camponeschi for 5th place, Hanley passed Lundberg. Further back, Jordon Lennox-Lamb (CRG / Maxter) was in a hurry in 13th position after gaining 13 places from the start. There was a skirmish between Kozlinski and Lundberg after taking 6th position from Hanley. Dale increased his lead insurmountable to more than one second from Lammers, De Conto was 3rd and Zanchetta 4th. Hanley, in 6th, remained in the shadow of Camponeschi, and Lundberg in 8th, resisted Torsellini.

Conto passed Lammers with two laps to go, but Dale easily won the race, Zanchetta finished 4th ahead of Camponeschi, Hanley, Kozlinski in 7th, Lundberg, Torsellini and Fore in 10th.
