The Castelletto track 2waz still very slippery at the start of the first pre-final of the WSK Final Cup. The sky, although very dark, was still dry, but wet tyres were required. Alessio Lorandi (Tony Kart / Parilla) dominated the race unchallenged, with the fastest time and crossed the finish line as the winner by 11” ahead of Petru Florescu (Tony Kart / Vortex) who was the best in the chasing group ahead of Nikita Sitnikov (Tony Kart / BMB), Robert Shwartzman (Tony Kart / TM) and Max Fewtrell (FA Kart / Vortex). Leonardo Lorandi (Tony Kart / Parilla) finished sixth despite going off ahead of Jehan Daruvala (FA Kart / Vortex), who was held up on lap 2 in an attack on Fewtrell which ended badly for him. Bryan Elpitiya (Energy / TM) finished eighth after a wise race.
