It was a spectacular grid for the final of the KF International Super Cup with Karol Basz (Tony Kart / Vortex) and Nicklas Nielsen (Kosmic / Vortex) on the front row, Egor Stupenkov (Energy / TM) and Martin Kodric (FA Kart / Vortex) the second row, Dorian Boccolacci (Energy / TM) and Lance Stroll (Zanardi / TM) on the third. The sky continued to be overcast.

Basz, Stupenkov and Kodric was the order after the start and Kodric attacked Stupenkov before the end of the first lap. Basz had already got away. Stroll was 4th from Nielsen, 6th was Boccolacci and Paolo Besancenez (Tony Kart / TM) 7th. Stupenkov fell behind Stroll to 8th then 13th on the second lap. There was a committed duel between Nielsen and Kodric for 2nd place, Besancenez was the leader of the chasing pack ahead of Matteo Vigano (Top Kart / Parilla), Boccolacci and Tom Joyner (Zanardi / Parilla). In second, Nielsen started the turbo and was back with Basz, setting fantastic times, four tenths faster than the leader. Boccolacci took fourth position ahead of Besancenez. Both French drivers then escaped from the restless group behind.

Besancenez set the fastest time on lap 7, Nielsen arrived in Basz’s wheeltracks and passed easily under braking at turn 8. In third, Kodric led Boccolacci by nearly 2″ in fourth who was nearly 5” ahead of Besancenez. Joyner, in 6th, was 10” from the lead. Basz tried not to fall behind Nielsen. He succeeded and also managed to regain the lead under braking at the hairpin on the 13th lap. The Dane now followed the Pole by 3/10 and could prepare his attack. This is what happened, on the last corner of the last lap. The karts touched, Nielsen didn’t push it, and Basz won. Kodric was close and finished in third position, Boccolacci was fourth, Besancenez was fifth and fastest driver on the track.
