Ortona KFJ Prefinal 2: Ahmed the solid winner

For the start of prefinal 2 in KFJ, Enaam Ahmed (FA Kart / Vortex) and Martijn Van Leeuwen (Zanardi / TM) were on the front row ahead of Sasakorn Chamongkol (Kosmic / TM) and Lorenzo Travisanutto (Tony Kart / Vortex). Ahmed escaped at the front, but it was heated for second place. Van Leeuwen managed to retain his position, which was very important for the championship. Robert Shwartzmann (Tony Kart / TM) was in third position before falling to fifth, followed by Gabriel Aubry (Birel / TM). Nikita Sitnikov (Tony Kart / BMB) passed for 3rd before dropping to 6th behind Leonardo Pulcini ( Tony Kart / Vortex).

It was a tight battle for fifth place, while the top four were solid. Jehan Daruvala (FA Kart / Vortex) Chaimongkol, Sitnikov and Aubry drove a joyful race. Pulcini took Shwartzmann back for third position, while Chaimongkol too fifth from Aubry and Sitnikov, Daruvala now behind. Ahmed continued to a clear victory ahead of Van Leeuwen and Pulcini. Shwartzmann was 4th, Chaimongkol 5th, Aubry 6th, Sitnikov 7th. Lessennes (retirement), Leuillet and Mazepin didn’t qualify.
