Joel Johansson (Energy / TM) didn’t miss the start of the KZ2 final that would decide the European title. Kristijan Habulin (CRG / Modena) attacked, but then there was a big crash on the straight and hairpin before the back straight. Zanchetta dropped to 29th. Alexander Schmitz still held second place, but Felice Tiene (CRG / Maxter) was at the front of the race and took the lead on lap 10. Emil Antonsen (DR / TM) took the opportunity to attack Johansson and gained 2nd place, a position that made him the champion of 2013.
The end of the race would not bring changes: Tiene won the final by 2.4” ahead of Emil Antonsen, the new European Champion of KZ2 for 2013. Johansson, third at the finish line, is the runner-up.
