Boccolacci Still Has Win Chances in European Championship

Although he expected more than a 6th place at the first meeting of the European KF Championship held in Spain, Dorian Boccolacci is still in the race for the title. What is certain is that he is going to train actively for the second and decisive round, to be held in Italy in the next few weeks, with the goal of taking his revenge.

The special conditions found during the Alcaniz meeting, with a fast, very wide circuit, with lots of ups and downs, would have definitely needed longer preparation to give Dorian some chances to win there. For these reasons, his performances during the first laps revealed that his kart still lacked some tenths of seconds to keep the pace of the fastest drivers. The team worked hard to catch up and the Energy/TM kart of this young French driver gained some additional power for the qualifying heats.

For the rest, a race is a race, and during the final he experienced a series of problems. Though he did not suffer any serious accidents, Dorian was delayed by a chaotic start, then by constant fights in the pack, which stopped him from reaching the leading drivers. Luckily he was not involved in the many collisions that happened during the meeting and showed a good level of performances during the final phases.
