Friday – Negro attacks and clinches the pole in KZ2. Spurred by the success achieved two weeks ago, the Italian Riccardo Negro (DR-TM-Bridgestone) attacks the leadership of Marco Zanchetta (Maranello-TM-Bridgestone) in KZ2 and got the pole position stopping the time at 1’03″696. Zanchetta is already obliged to fend off Negro’s attacks: he is second 17 hundredths of a second behind. The race is going to be a thrilling one since the heats on schedule tomorrow. Another big name at the top in KZ2 is Alessandro Manetti’s one (Praga-Parilla-Bridgestone), third with a gap of three tenths of a second from Negro.

Saturday – Negro confirms himself. Riccardo Negro is the other driver who is achieving a remarkable recovery, this time in the KZ2 category. The Italian driver had to fight hard only during the first laps to get the leadership. In fact, at the start the lead was taken by the Italian Luigi Di Poto (Rossokorsa-TM-Bridgestone), who was later hit by a penalty for jump start. Also the Czech Jan Midrla (Birel-TM-Bridgestone) tried to take over the lead before Negro got and kept it until the end of the race. The current leader of the standings, Marco Zanchetta, was obliged to start from the 12th position; he managed to recover as far as 6th, but now his lead over Negro is much narrower.

Sunday – Zanchetta is the surprise. The KZ2 Final was a matter between the two Italian drivers Riccardo Negro and Marco Zanchetta. Once again theirs was a close quarters combat, which found a solution only with two laps to go, with Zanchetta who beat Negro into second place thanks to a great overtaking manoeuvre carried out just before one of the bends. Another Italian driver, Francesco Celenta (Energy-TM-Bridgestone), followed the tussle from a remarkable distance but, anyway, he managed to achieve the third place.
