Callum Ilott – KF – Without contacts…
Another weekend marked by many contacts for the English driver, despite speed that is persistently the best. He wins one heat (and scores two best laps) and is 11th at the start of the prefinal: here a contact at the start forces him to recover from the rear (14th). The same thing happens in the Final too: after a contact, he ends 13th with overall best lap.

Lance Stroll – KF – A step from the podium
In the first heat a contact makes things tough for him (18th), then he recovers big time (6th, 5th, 7th). In the prefinal he starts 16th, charges on and rises to 9th. He then completes his amazing rebound in the Final, where he closes 5th, a step from the podium. Without the initial contact he would have had his own among drivers who are older and more experienced.

Tom Joyner – KF – Out of the top 10 due to a penalty
The English driver does well in the heats, but has to start 21st in the prefinal: here he charges up and ends 11th. In the Final he does even better: he scores 2nd best lap and is 8th at the checkered; but a 5 second penalty sends him down to 14th. As always, Joyner struggles when there’s no grip and does better when it gets hot. He’s getting ready for the next races of 2013.

David Beckmann – KF Junior – Ready for a podium
The German driver races with increasing confidence: at the end of the heats he is 7th overall and he closes his prefinal (A) with a great 3rd place. In the Final he has some issues at first, then rises and does a good job of running up front, conquering a nice 6th place at the finish, which also takes him up to 6th in the series standings.

Martijn Van Leeuwen – KF Junior – Again with the best
Always one of the best, the Dutch driver confirms his reputation again: in the first heat he is 22nd due to a penalty (he was 6th at the finish) and in the others he rises well (twice 4th and 7th) and qualifies. In the B Prefinal he is 3rd and in the final he does well and closes 7th. He is now standing 8th in the series.

YueYang Sun – KF Junior – Getting better also on long tracks
In the qualifyings he can’t find the trail (62nd), so in the heats he’s forced to climb, but behaves well: twice 10th, once 15th, and 25th in the last one due to a contact. He qualifies 32nd, but in the B prefinal he proves he is still green and ends 30th, far from qualifying. He keeps getting better, but still needs experience.

James Pull – KF Junior – Heats without peace
The Oakes team driver scores fair lap times, but his heats are packed with contacts: 18th, 24th and 26th, plus an 8th place that allows him to qualify 55th. In the A Prefinal he tries his chances and rises nicely up to 16th, which equals access to the Final, but he bumps into a rival on a last-bend attempt at a pass and slides down to 25th.
