Another victory at Sarno for Negro and DR Racing

Riccardo Negro (DR / TM) started from pole for final 1 in KZ2, at the WSK Euro Series at Sarno, thanks to two victories in the heats on Saturday. He was joined on the front row by Luigi Di Poto (Rossokorsa / TM), while the second row was composed of Alessandro Manetti (Praga / Parilla) and Jan Midrla (Birel / TM). Second in the first race, Marco Zanchetta (Maranello / TM) fell to 12th position due to his retirement in the second heat.

Di Poto led lap 1, Midrla was second and Negro 3rd ahead of Manetti. But Negro was already in control on lap 2. Zanchetta began his comeback, while Maxime Roy (Birel / TM) was in a good 7th place before retiring. Negro set the fastest time at halfway and emerged from the threat from Midrla. Francesco Celenta (Energy / TM) was comfortable in third position ahead of Di Poto and Simas Juodvirsis (Energy / TM). Negro was on a mission, nothing could deprive him of an another victory. He also set the fastest time on the last lap. Midrla ensured his second place and Celenta controlled the situation in third position. Zanchetta was seventh in the wheeltracks of the Polish driver Bartosz Idzkowski (CRG / Maxter).
