0.169 seconds faster than his rivals, the Briton Ben Hanley (ART GP / TM) stole pole position in KZ1 with a lap of 1’03” 521. The fight was very close for 2nd place between two former teammates Patrik Hajek (Praga / Parilla), faster by 6 thousandths and Bas Lammers (Intrepid / TM). 4th position went to Paolo De Conto (Birel / TM), closely followed by Lorenzo Camplese (CRG / Parilla) and Kozlinski (Birel / TM) in sixth then Marco Ardigo (Tony Kart / Vortex) 7th. Max Verstappen (CRG / TM) didn’t figure prominently after a shortened session.
