WSK Euro KFJ: Pulcini on pole at Sarno

Warmer than 20°, with a sunny sky, official qualifying for the WSK Euro Series in Sarno began and KF Junior opened the show. As usual, it was not until the middle of the session, when drivers took to the track, and the fastest time is usually set on the second lap.

 

In the first group, Leonardo Pulcini (Tony Kart / Vortex) was the fastest with a time of 1’06” 272, followed by a 10th by Gabriel Aubry (Birel / TM) and Alessio Lorandi (Tony Kart / Vortex) by 2/10. Logan Sargeant (Tony Kart / Vortex), Remigio Garofano (Tony Kart / LKE),  and Robert Shwartzmann (Tony Kart / TM) on exactly the same time as Pietro Mazzzola (LH / TM) completed the top six.

 

Lando Norris (FA Kart / Vortex) took the lead in the second session with 1’06” 489 ahead of his teammate Daniel Ticktum (FA Kart / Vortex) and Nikita Sitnikov (Tony Kart / BMB). Norris improved to 1’06” 373 while Parker Thompson (Energy / TM) took second position from Ticktum, and was joined by Jehan Daruvala (FA Kart / Vortex) and Sitnikov, in 5th.

 

Overall, pole in KFJ went to Pulcini ahead of Norris and Aubry. Lorandi moved up to 4th, Thompson was 5th ahead of Ticktum in 6th, Sargeant in 7th, Daruvala in 8th, Sitnikov 9th and Garofano 10th.
