The fight had already started between the two protagonists in the WSK Euro Series in KZ2. In the wake of his victory in the Master Series, Riccardo Negro (DR / TM) posted 1’03” 966, pole position by 1.7 tenths from his rival Marco Zanchetta (Maranello / TM). Alessandro Manetti (Praga / Parilla) set a third time, which was very encouraging, from Luigi Di Poto (Rossokorsa / TM), Francesco Celenta (Energy / TM) and Simone Cunati (Top Kart / Parilla). Alessio Piccini (Tony Kart / Vortex) set a good seventh fastest time, Maxim Roy (Birel / TM) finished 13th.
