WSK Euro Series: Boccolacci pulls away in KF

The first half of the season is over and WSK paddock is now getting ready for the two remaining rounds, with drivers who need to widen the gap and other drivers who – on the contrary – need to achieve remarkable recoveries. WSK Promotion European kart racing is moving to Sarno (Italy), on 21st April, then – on 2nd June – the closing round of Genk (Belgium). Let’s have a look at the standings after the first round of Muro Leccese and the half-season Spanish round, run in Zuera.

Boccolacci pulls away in KF. Dorian Boccolacci (Energy-TM-Vega) is the new KF leader at the end of this Spanish weekend. He was always among the top drivers: he won the pre-final but wasn’t able to win in the Final where the Italian Felice Tiene (CRG-Parilla-Vega), thanks to a terrific recovery (he was 30th at the end of the heats), crossed the finishing line first and was the indisputable winner of the category. Bad weekend, on the other hand, for the English Ben Barnicoat (ART GP-TM-Vega), who arrived at Zuera as the standings leader and is now second with 77 points, while Boccolacci is at the top with 90. Tiene closed the gap in the standings and he is now third with 60 points. Tiene’s lead over his pursuers is of only five points. Behind him the English George Russell (Birel-TM-Vega) and the Polish Karol Basz (Tony Kart-Vortex-Vega): they dropped back to fourth and are equal on points.
