Praga Raises the Pace in KF

Patrik Hajek proved he belongs in the elite of KZ1 drivers during the second round of the WSK Euro Series held in Spain, on the demanding circuit of Zuera. But most of the attention was on Karol Dabski’s great performance in KF: both the driver and his Praga/Parilla showed an amazing progression.

In timed qualifying, Dabski was already very fast and set the 14th time out of 56 entrants. This young Polish driver upped his speed again during the qualifying heats and concluded the last heat with a second place. With his 8th place in the intermediate classification, his hopes of an excellent result already in the pre-final were fairly high. Unfortunately all his winning chances evaporated right after the start owing to a collision where his kart was damaged, and he could no longer close the gap. Motivated by the stake, he launched his attack at the start of the final and got the most out of his Praga by climbing up from 27th to 11th place, which is definitely no small feat!

Patrik Hajek – who was regularly in the top 10 with an 8th place in Final 1 on Saturday – was also hampered by a light collision in the second heat in KZ1 on Sunday, which in Final 2 did not make it easy for him to do better than 11th place on the finish line. He is now 7th in the provisional classification of the Championship, and he is looking forward to be back on the circuit of Sarno, where the team achieved a great success in 2012.
