The fight in KZ2 all day pitted Joel Johansson (Energy / TM) against the polesitter Marco Zanchetta (Maranello / TM). Each took a win in the heats, and they clashed in the final where Johansson made the best start. Zanchetta then returned permanently to the lead and won the race with the fastest lap 1.7” ahead of Jan Midrla (Birel / TM), the other strong man of the day who also passed Johansson after two laps. Riccardo Negro (DR / TM) took fourth position ahead of Simas Juodvirsis (Energy / TM). It was a black day for the French driver Maxime Roy (Birel / TM), who qualified well in fourth position, but suffered a series of mishaps on the track.
