DR at the Front in KZ2

DR Racing official team came very close to a double victory this weekend during the WSK Euro Series at La Conca. Danilo Rossi’s chassis performed even better with the Bridgestone tyres – adopted in CIK-FIA competitions – than with the Vegas mounted the beginning of the season in the WSK Master. On Saturday, Riccardo Negro dominated in KZ2 and took the final victory of the day. The Italian driver could have won Sunday’s race, but due to an excess of optimism he stumbled on the finish line for just 0.002 seconds. His fastest lap in race confirmed DR/TM current excellent performances, so much so that the Norwegian driver Emil Antonsen succeeded in moving up from 12th on Saturday to 7th on Sunday, setting times very close to those of the best drivers.

“I am really satisfied with our first races in KZ2 this year” Danilo Rossi commented. “There is already a significant potential, though development is still under way. Considering his performances, Riccardo deserved to win the two finals and this is what really matters. In KF and KFJ, our young drivers need to become a bit tougher to face their highly trained rivals, but I am confident they will do a great job“.
