The first qualifying heat in KZ2 at the SuperNationals in Las Vegas saw three drivers have a good fight for the win throughout. Max Verstappen (CRG / TM) went ahead of Marco Ardigo (Tony Kart / Vortex), but Patrik Hajek (Praga / Parilla) quickly came to contest the lead, settling into the lead on lap 5, with Ardigo in second position. Verstappen did not give up, as is his usual attitude, and took control in the 11th round to win the race with the fastest lap, 44” 115. Hajek finished second ahead of Ardigo.

Meanwhile, Anthony Abbasse (Sodi / TM) came up from 7th to 4th place, surpassing Rick Dreezen (Tony Kart / Vortex) who was very fast but struggling with Gary Carlton (Energy / BMB) before finally taking 6th ahead of Jorrit Pex (CRG / TM). After a complicated start Ben Hanley (ART GP / TM) maxed out in 11th position, while Bas Lammers (Praga / Parilla) dropped from 10th to 20th place in the final laps. Armand Convers (Kosmic / Vortex) made up 12 places in 4 rounds, before retiring at halfway. Starting 28th, Gianni Gazzurelli (FA Kart / Vortex) finished in 18th place.
