Praga Karts Repeat Good Performances at End of Season

After its recent title at the highest world level, the Praga Kart Team showed again some excellent performances at one of the last competitions of the season, the WSK Final Cup held on the 7 Laghi circuit. The reputation of Praga chassis is beginning to grow in the paddock, given that it was one of the best represented brands in KZ2 at Castelletto, with as many as 5 karts racing in the competition.

Its two leading drivers monopolised the fastest laps in each race and were regularly the two fastest drivers, from the beginning to the end of the meeting, with a record of 4 best performances out of 5 for Patrik Hajek. The Czech driver also won the first heat, but then he suffered a mechanical problem in the second heat, while Bas Lammers took the chequered flag in the last heat, where he was inflicted a 10″ penalty for an early start. In the meanwhile, Hajek put in a stunning recovery drive from 22nd to 3rd place.

Then Lammers and Hajek regained the ground they had lost in the pre-final and concluded with a 1st and 3rd place respectively, in an ideal position for the start of the decisive final, a race they dominated, crossing the finish line with a lead of over 3 seconds. Unfortunately the two drivers were inflicted another 10 second penalty, again for an early start, and were both out of the podium since they ended 4th and 5th. Despite this disappointing situation, Praga chassis performances have been excellent and perfectly in line with Praga’s ambitions for the future.
