With a new white suit with the portrait of Ayrton Senna, Thiago Vivacqua paid tribute to the greatest Brazilian champion at the World Cup for KF2 – the most important meeting of the international season – held in Spain, on the circuit of Zuera.
On his first season in KF2, Thiago continues to make progress race after race. At Zuera, he demonstrated to rightly deserve a place in the top 10. He started far back in timed qualifying due to an ineffective strategic decision, after a few mechanical problems in the first qualifying heat, but afterwards he was able to show his real potential by ranking 4th and 5th.
“I finished 27th due to my withdrawal in the first heat” Thiago pointed out. “But I felt confident about the remaining races, I knew I was fast on the circuit of Zuera. I regained 15 places during the pre-final where everything went smoothly. Then, I thought I could do better in the final and be able to enter the top 5, it was perfectly possible. Unfortunately, several collisions ahead of me slowed me down and when I was able to attack, another driver touched me and damaged my front-wheel axle. I could not finish the race“.
The small disappointment for this final result quickly disappeared after an analysis of Thiago’s performances. He has definitely made a lot of progress since the beginning of the season! This young driver has now joined the group of the fastest drivers in a very challenging class, and can look to his future career with confidence.
