Fuoco on pole in KF2


Felice Tiene (CRG / BMB) long held the lead of the first session of Qualifying in KF2, but Nicklas Nieslen (Kosmic / Vortex) grabbed the fastest time late in the session with 1’00” 304. Sam Snell (Energy / Parilla) took third place ahead of Marco Maestranzi (PCR / Parilla) and Vasily Romanov (Energy / TM), while Flavio Camponeschi (Tony Kart / Vortex) finished sixth.

Antonio Fuoco (Kosmic / Vortex) was immediately fastest in the second session with a series of fastest laps. Charles Leclerc (ART GP / Parilla) followed a few lengths ahead of Andy Chang Wing Chung (Tony Kart / Vortex). Tom Joyner (LH / BMB) took 3rd place at the end ahead of Pavel Rudakov (Tony Kart / BMB), Thiago Vivacqua (Zanardi / Parilla) set the sixth time. The pole logically went to Fuoco with 1’00” 221. Victor Compere (Kosmic / Vortex) retired with mechanical before he set a time.

Sebastian Segond (Tony Kart / Parilla) and Andrea Russo (Kosmic / Vortex) took off from the opening of the track for the third session, while others waited for the last 5 minutes to leave the dummy grid. Valentin Moineault (Tony Kart / Vortex) took 1st, with 1’00” 772 ahead of Dennis Olsen (Energy / TM) and Max Verstappen (Zanardi / Parilla). Ben Barnicoat (ART GP / Parilla) then took the advantage from Olsen and Damiano Fioravanti (Tony Kart / Vortex) and Alessio Guazzaroni (Top Kart / Parilla) joined them in the top 3. At the checkered flag, Barnicoat continues to lead with 1’00” 487 from Olsen, Guazzaroni, Fioravanti and Paolo Ippoloto (Kosmic / Vortex).

Overall, the pole man was Fuoco, with Nielsen 2nd, Barnicoat 3rd, Leclerc fourth, Olsen fifth, Tiene 6th. Camponeschi advanced to 12th place and Verstappen 19th.
