Tiene gatecrashes the first step of the podium

The start did not change the order, but Matthew Graham (Zanardi / Parilla) returned to the pits, and Valentin Moineault and Flavio Camponeschi (Tony Kart / Vortex) were at the back. Barnicoat attacked Snell quickly for 2nd place, Niklas Tiihonen (Energy / Parilla) put Snell back to 3rd, Tiene was 5th ahead of Tom Joyner (LH / BMB) and Antonio Fuoco (Tony Kart / Vortex). Barnicoat passed Verstappen on lap 3. The top three were highly clustered, soon joined by Tiene.

At halfway Camponeschi had moved up to 18th, Charles Leclerc (ART GP / Parilla) to 14th. Tiene returned to third position, then overtook Verstappen for second place.
