The front row was 100% Intrepid for Race 2 in KF3, which will decide the 2012 European Champion at PFI. George Russell (Intrepid / Vortex) and Dorian Boccolacci (Intrepid / TM) must not only win, but enjoy a performance advantage ahead of his opponent to be crowned. Martin Kodric (FA Kart / Vortex) and Connor Jupp (Energy / Vortex) were o  the second row ahead of Luca Corberi (Kosmic / Vortex) and Alex Palou (CRG / BMB). Bright sunlight warms the English track, with no sign of rain on the horizon.

Kodric dominated in the scrum in front of Russell’s start, then were Boccolacci, Jupp and Corberi. Russell attacked on the second lap, Kodric replied on the next, and it was heated among the top 6. Paolo Besancenez (Sodi / Parilla) and Gabi Aubry (Birel / TM) fell back in the battle at the race start, Valentin Naud (Formula K / TM) advanced to 12th from Palou. Russell pulled away at the front on lap 5, Kodric was right behind Boccolacci. Jupp attacked Corberi for fourth place, Callum Ilott (Zanardi / Parilla) passed Petrut Florescu (Zanardi / Parilla) for sixth. On the ninth lap, Boccolacci fell to 12th position after a tough fight.

Russell was alone in the lead with over 2” ahead of Corberi, Florescu, who set the fastest time, Jupp, Kodric and Santino Ferrucci (Energy / TM). Palou returned to sixth, hoping to score maximum points for second place in the championship. Russell won race 2 uncontested at the same time as the European KF3 Championship, for the second consecutive time. Corberi finished second ahead of Florescu, Jupp was fourth, Ferrucci fifth, Palou sixth and probably second in the championship, Moilanen seventh, Boccolacci eighth and third in the Championship.
