Race boots that belonged to Jenson Button, not only that, those that allowed him to finish second in the Indian GP in 2011 driving his McLaren MP4-26, presented in a beautiful display, duly authenticated by Jonathan Neale, director of McLaren and autographed by Jenson himself, are up for auction.
The goal in bidding, is to support an organization that helps young British drivers to drive at lower cost and develop their talent. The name of the operation itself is a pun: “Racing for Buttons” which roughly means “running for nothing” playing on Button’s name.
There’s no need to be fetishistic to want to own such a piece of F1 memorabilia, or to be a millionaire to want to participate in an action for young drivers. In any case, anyone can place their bid directly on the spot at the PFI circuit, under the MBR awning or by email to the following address : lesley@tvkc.co.uk
