A delicious light rain began to fall on the drivers in National on the dummy grid for their pre-final. The difficult question in this category was not over whether to use slicks, only that the tire pressures would be crucial, in addition to the sensitivity of the driver behind the wheel.

The start was smooth despite the 42 competitors on the track. Anthony Coudert (Kosmic) beat Anthony Fotia (Intrepid), and Frederic Pierre Herpin (Kosmic), all three Team Pro Kart. Maxime Bidard (CRG) occupied fourth position in front of Thomas Laurent (Tony Kart) and Jonathan Bailly (Tony Kart). Fotia grabbed the lead on the third lap. The rain was still present, but very light, and there were only a few stagnant pools of water on the inside of some corners. Coudert returned to the lead with Laurent in fourth. Herpin attacked Fotia who was preparing to retaliate, while Coudert took the opportunity to escape.

The gaps were significant, but a small compact group of eight drivers were competing for places of honor. Herpin had indeed distanced Fotia and approaches the leader, Coudert, and Maxime Bidard (CRG), in fifth. Laurent led a quintet with Bailly relegated by more than a second. Bidard found an opening on Laurent and was in 4th place on lap 12. He quickly closed up to the third, Fotia, setting the fastest lap. Coudert kept his lead at 7/10 from Herpin with three laps to go, but it narrowed behind him.

Bidard attacked Fotia, but no longer had the time to threaten Herpin who finished second behind Coudert, the winner of the prefinal. Laureny was fifth, Bailly sixth, Belbachir seventh, Bourhis eighth, Nectoux 9th and Brion 10th.
